EDITION 2023
For the first time in its history, the INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION GRENACHES DU MONDE, is leaving European territory to reach a successful market placement in the United States of America. During this extraordinary edition, the international contest will attract the attention of US buyers and importers. In June, the USA jury will choose the best 2023 Garnacha/Grenache wines that will be honored in a sensational gala in September 2023.
This year, the event is organized by European Garnacha/Grenache Quality Wines, that is a co-funded program with the European Commission which aims to enhance the competitiveness of EU agricultural quality products. One more step to make Garnacha/Grenache continue to grow around the world.
GRENACHES DU MONDE
In 2013, the Interprofessional Council of Roussillon Wines organized the first competition for this high-quality grape variety. With its roots in Roussillon, Grenaches du Monde has since become itinerant, each year hosted by regions producing wines based on the Grenache grape variety. Over the years, rising numbers of wine producers have been participating in this event and the event has become the unmissable annual meeting for professionals in the wine industry worldwide.

This edition of International competition Grenaches du Monde will take place in June 2023 in New York, the world’s largest consumer market. Creating the perfect opportunity to attract the attention and curiosity of North American professionals and wine lovers to the vogue Grenache grape variety.

For the first time this year, the jury will be composed exclusively of American trade members (importers, distributors, sommeliers, etc.) and influencers (media and specialized journalists). In case of distinction, the commercial perspectives on the US market are promising.

In addition to the delocalized tasting in June, on September 14th, as its tradition, we will celebrate the pre- International Garnacha/Grenache day, announcing the winners of the 11th edition with a gala night, gathering all the A listers of US wine society at City Winery in New York City.
