Quand les températures commencent à descendre et le vert du feuillage prend des nuances d’or, le nord de l’hémisphère accueille l’automne. Véritable cépage méditerranéen, la majorité des vins Garnacha/Grenache proviennent d’Espagne et de France. Bien que ce cépage ait été transplanté en Californie et en Australie, les vignes de Garnacha/Grenache sont toujours dominantes dans les régions du sud de la Méditérranée.

Ce cépage est très polyvalent, donnant des vins rouges, blancs et rosés. Tandis que le rosé est la grande saveur de l’été, ces recommandations pour la saison automnale délaissent le doux rosé en faveur de vins plus corsés pour se marier mieux avec des plats de la saison hivernale.

Cette combinaison d’arômes et de saveurs fait des Garnacha/Grenache rouges des vins faciles à marier avec une large gamme de plats. Pour l’automne, ces vins vont mieux sur des plats riches, braisés ou mijotés, et particulièrement sur les plats en sauce.
